ODOT Rogers County Hwy 66

Owner: Oklahoma Department of Transportation
System: Dry Shotcrete, CFRP and Protective Coating
Completed: 2015

The concrete columns and pier caps were spalling due to corrosion of the steel reinforcement within the bridge.  CSC removed the spalled concrete, prepared the repair area by mechanical means and applied prepackaged mortar material utilizing a dry shotcrete method.  Once spalls had been repaired, CSC wrapped the columns and piers with a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) to contain the repairs.  Upon completion, a coating was applied to protect against the elements.
